It’s unfortunate the latest books haven’t captured my attention much.
I almost did switch CB and Caliban’s War, but I’m still bitter over the thing with Elvi. Especially because Ty had the gall to say that writing the main female character, a bamf deputy, as getting pregnant was RUINING her character. I wanted to clap back with Elvi but I knew no one would listen and rabid fanboys would start attacking me.
I’m hoping they are saving their energy for the last two books. The saving grace to me was that PR wasn’t as horrifically bad as BA. If it continued to be that bad I’m not entirely sure I would have kept reading. I probably would have just acted like anything post NG never happened and lived in my happy little world.

Seriously, that death left me feeling like they just woke up one day, decided they needed a death and they just didn’t know what to do with that character anymore, so why not make it them?
I mean, sure, I can see maybe killing them off because things needed to change, but then make it better? Make me cry? It didn’t have to be some grand thing, it didn’t even have to be in a different way. Just...make it better. Make it count. Don’t let it stew in the background of other things going on. Let us, who have followed this character, FEEL it.
