It was rare to find the former police officer, turned bakery pushing down and controlling the amount of surprise and delight in her voice. The moment she spotted Celestina, her demeanor became that of a polite yet familiar, friendly person and that was what she kept things at. Still, there was some joy at seeing the other. "I have your order in the next room, freshly done I just had them out to cool a little so they'd be ready for your pick up."

The brunette glanced over at the other, gesturing toward one of the seating arrangements. "Give me a moment and I'll package it up. Did you want anything else with it?"

"I leave early because I have work to do and the world falls right back into chaos." It wasn't accusation as much as an exasperated sigh. Her leaving had nothing to do with it yet frustrated her beyond anything she could have put into words. The reality of this was proving something to be wrong within the city once more and she hated it, not with everything that had been on the line before. "Are you okay, honestly?" Cel was her cousin. Of course she would care. And check in.

And bring flowers, because that was Safia's thing to do in a moment of joy or crisis. The latter being the case. With a sigh she placed the vase down. "I'll take them back if you don't want them, but I still wanted to make sure you had fresh ones."
