Super sad as a bunch of us were just talking about him and how there was a gofundme to help with his illness. I was also reading last night that when Dick Dale died he was still on tour at his age because of his medical expenses. Shame that people who have such a legacy but just not in the mainstream can struggle so much with the American medical system making the land of the free the land too expensive and free to die. Granted Dale lived a fair age and Buechler wasn't young “per say” but they both have large legacy to a specific group of people and deserved better. JCB is a huge part of the B movie world. Check out his comments on the extra features for the Sorceress dvd where he jokes about the cheapness of Corman during his early special effects experiences.
