Can’t Seem to Kick It || Cellie
The pneumonia hadn’t healed yet.
At this point, Ellie has had this same strand of pneumonia for a while, in fact, this was the second time she was in the hospital for it. It simply wasn’t going away and she had been faithful in taking her previously prescribed antibiotics.
It still hadn’t left and now she was in a hospital bed with a nasal cannula on providing oxygen and an IV hooked up to her arm filling her up with some form of fluid. The doctors were outside trying to figure out what course of action would be needed to get rid of the infection that was terrorizing her lungs, leaving the redhead alone in the room.
That was okay though, Ellie was terribly exhausted. She felt like a ton of bricks was sitting right over her chest. It was hard to breathe, her head was swimming, she was pale, sweating, and her eyes felt far too heavy to hold open.
Everything felt so hard. And then she really hadn’t told anyone that she was hospital. Not Stan, not Lymantria no one really knew save Celia and that was only because they had been texting and Ellie was far too tired to think of a lie as to where she was.
She was tucked under a good amount of sheets trying to rest the best she could when she heard the door opening only to see none other than Celia herself. “You.... you didn’t have to come...”
