Hey cellists of tumblr I need a little help. I got a fairly dark, mellow sounding cello and I am not liking the Larson A and D that I have on it right now. My G is a d'aggario helicore medium and my C is a sprirocore medium which are really great and mellow. The Larsons are kind of harsh and sound way louder than the other two and I need to replace them anyway. I'm looking at passione strings (specifically the soft a and the medium d) and I want to know if that's a good choice for a more mellow sound that will blend with my other strings. I've read the reviews and they seem pretty good but I've never actually used them or know of anyone that's used them. Is that a good choice or is there something better?
