It’s rare that Carmilla leaves the mansion, rarer still that she does so for leisure. Laura’s whimsy and charming disposition has an effect on her unlike anything else she, in her admittedly short life, has ever experienced, and there’s little she can do to resist her.
What dear Laura cannot do, however, is keep Carmilla from sulking about being dragged out for something as menial as clothes shopping.
“I’m telling you, you didn’t have to do this.” And yet she keeps glancing over, eyeing her companion’s choices. “I can just mend the clothes I have...”
