Why CELPIP test is becoming popular among Immigration candidates?

In recent years Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) has gained a massive recognition worldwide as General English test which is accepted by Canada Immigration and Citizenship. Immigrants and international students apply for CELPIP over IELTS. Not long ago IELTS used to be the only option you had for an English language test. But CELPIP is now available in many countries other than Canada, such as India, the Philippines, America, and the UAE. The General LS test- The General LS Test only covers Listening and Speaking and is approved by IRCC for citizenship applications.

CELPIP test has up to 12 points for each section. CELPIP scoring comes under the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB). CELPIP level is equal to the CLB level, unlike IELTS. You have to get 7 points in each category for CELPIP as the ‘passing score’. This makes you eligible for Express Entry.
