Just like there is a cd drama au where Vivi continues traveling with the straw hats post Alabasta, can we also have an anime filler arc about it? Or an anime film?
I'd love to see more adventures of Vivi with the Straw Hats.

Summary: After Jinbe learns you can't swim, he decided he is going teach you.
Masterlist
The crew tried to understand it. You don't have a Devil Fruit, and you aren't afraid of water. You simply get into and body of water more than a foot deep and immediately move like you've forgotten how your limbs work. Swimming was just something that you couldn't do, and it's not liked you hadn't tried to learn you had. It is just that it never worked out too well. Two years back Nami had tried to teach at one point, but it ended up with you almost drowning five different times, and after that the crew had decided just to keep an eye out when you got near the water.
Today was one of those days that the crew was heading towards a small island, it seemed to just be a jungle and Luffy was excited to go exploring, but the island was still about an hour off. Everyone is scattered around the deck doing their own thing preparing to arrive on land. You were helping Nami with something near the railing when Luffy suddenly shouts from the other side of the deck. “HEY! LOOK!”
You turn instinctively towards your captain taking one step backwards, and your foot catches on a loose rope, and you can feel yourself falling backwards and tipping over the railing, you try twisting around and grabbing for it but can't get turned around fast enough. You let a scream as you hit the water.
SPLASH.
There is a moment of horrible silence, broken by Nami's voice shouting, "Y/N!”
You surface for approximately half a second, your arms immediately flailing around trying to keep your head above the water. “HELP!!” You manage to scream out before sinking below the surface once more
Sanji is over the railing before anyone else can react. “Y/N!” He dives without hesitation. Sanji reaches for you pulling you back towards the surface, "I've got them!”
“SANJI!” You immediately grab onto him with the strength he didn't know you were capable of.
“I'm here!” He said, still holding on to you while treading water, "I have got you."
“I can't swim!”
“I know!” He hooks an arm securely around you and starts kicking toward the Sunny. You are absolutely no help. In fact, you're actively making things worse as you are still panicking.
“STOP MOVING!” Nami shouts.
“I'M TRYING!” You shout back clinging to Sanji like a koala, still panicking from your near drowning,
From the deck, Usopp is screaming, “JUST FLOAT!”
“I CAN'T!”
Zoro grabbed the rope that you had tripped over, “Sanji!” Zoro throws the rope and Sanji catches it. A few moments later, the two of you are hauled back onto the deck. You collapse onto your hands and knees, coughing out seawater that you had swallowed while panicking.
Sanji immediately kneels beside you, gently rubbing your back, “Are you alright?”
You wipe your month coughing, “Yes, thank you for saving me.”
Nami crouches beside you, slapping you lightly on the back of the head, “You idiot! Be more careful.”
Chopper is already checking you over while Usopp dramatically explains how close you were to death. Luffy is staring at you, then at the ocean, then back at you. “Why can't you swim?”
You give him a look. “I just can't swim.”
Zoro finally walks over, dripping from where he'd leaned over the railing to help pull you in. “You're hopeless.” You give him a glare, but it wasn't like he was wrong. You had tried to learn to swim on several occasions, but it just didn't seem to work. You just sunk like a rock every time.
Jinbe who had been unusually quiet during this whole thing was standing near the railing, looking down at the water before he crouched down beside you, “You truly cannot swim?”
You blink looking at the fishman, “No.”
“Not even a little?”
“Jinbe, I almost drowned in a foot of water when Nami tried to teach me.”
He pauses. “That is... concerning.”
You shrug. “Some people aren't built for swimming.”
Jinbe looks toward the sea again, then toward you, and then back to the sea. His expression becomes thoughtful and after a moment he says, "Perhaps we should remedy that.”
You immediately narrow your eyes already having a sinking feeling where this was going, “Remedy what?”
“Your inability to swim.”
“No.” You shake your head looking anywhere but him.
“I haven't explained what I intend to do.”
“You're going to teach me.”
Jinbe smiles, “Yes.”
You finally look at him shaking your head, “Absolutely not.”
From behind you, Luffy lights up. “Jinbe's gonna teach Y/N how to swim?!”
Usopp gasps looking excited, “Oh, this I have to see.”
Nami crosses her arms, looking at you. “I'll supervise.”
Sanji immediately volunteers as well. “I'll supervising too Nami-sawn.”
Zoro yawns plopping down in one of his usual nap spots, “I'll supervise the funeral.”
“ZORO!”
And Jinbe? He just smiles, because he's already decided, you're learning how to swim and he was going to be one to teach you. Once the ship is docked on the island, Jinbe finds a spot along the coastline to start the swimming lessons. Apparently, this was more interesting than checking out the island because everyone decided they were going to watch the swimming lessons.
“Today,” he announces, “we will begin with the basics.”
You look at him, crossing your arms. “I know the basics.”
Jinbe raises an eyebrow. “You couldn't even float an hour ago, you don't know the basics.” From somewhere behind you, Usopp and Zoro are laughing. Jinbe patiently extends his hand; you take it.
Luffy is sitting on a log with a grin munching on the snacks that Sanji had made. “Can they do it?”
“I don't know,” Nami says, leaning back in her chair, pulling her sunglasses down to watch the scene in front of her. “I have the emergency floaties ready.”
“I don't need the floaties!” You call back stepping into the water with Jinbe.
“You do.” Robin replies while reading a book under an umbrella that Franky had put up for her.
Jinbe leads you into the shallows. “First, relax.”
“I am relaxed.” You say as your grip on his hand was so strong it would bring most people of their knees.
“You are holding onto my hand with enough force to crush bone.”
You immediately loosen your grip. “Sorry.”
“Now, allow yourself to float.” You take a deep breath and Jinbe helps you lean backward, keeping a hand on your back, to help support you. For approximately ten seconds, everything goes perfectly and then you panic as you feel water hit your ears.
“JINBE.”
“I have you.”
“JINBE I'M SINKING.”
“You are floating.”
“I'M FLOATING WRONG.”
From the shore, Luffy bursts into laughter. Zoro covers his face with one of his hands shaking his head. Sanji is five seconds away from jumping in the water to pull you out if it wasn't for Brook and Franky holding him back. But Jinbe remains completely patient. “You are safe. Trust the water.”
“I don't trust it!”
Jinbe keeps his hand on your back, “Then trust me, I won't let anything happen.” Eventually, after several attempts, you manage to float without immediately attempting to climb Jinbe like a tree or needing his help in keeping afloat. His expression softens as he pats your head, “There, you see? You can do it.”
Your eyes widen as you float in the water. “I’m doing it.”
“You are.” He replies, nodding.
“I'M DOING IT!”
Luffy starts cheering. “YOU'RE SWIMMING!”
“I'm not swimming!” You call back still floating on your back.
“You're floating, that counts!” Everyone erupts into cheering. You grin so hard, your face hurts, and Jinbe just smiles looking down at your proudly. You don't need to become a great swimmer; you just needed to learn that you can do it. And if you ever do fall overboard? Well with Sanji, Zoro, and Jinbe aboard the Sunny. You are probably the safest terrible swimmer in the entire New World.
One thing that I love about the Straw Hats is that they are all incredibly intelligent, but also complete idiots.
They all have moments where they truly do shine. They do something that gets me so excited, like 'Woah, that was so clever.' Then next time you see them, you're like 'I take it back.'
(Except maybe Robin and Jinbei. I can't think of any dumbass moments. I feel like there is a Nami moment, but can't remember right now🤔)
