13. talk about an au or story you came up with

well it’s not a story or au, but for a while i’ve been thinking about this oc i made. he doesn’t have a name yet because i haven’t thought too deeply about it. the story takes place in a fantasy world. basically he’s a boy in the early 20s. personality-wise, he’s witty and smug. he works as a fortune teller / prophet. kings and ruler pay him and ask him to predict the future in regards to political matters like wars. he tells them really vague fortunes and they often come true. people think he’s basically a god and divine. sometimes, the public worships him more than the actual kings, which makes them angry. he’s a threat to the royal hierarchy, but he can’t be assassinated because they need his abilities and his death might spark a revolution since he’s so beloved by the public. in reality, he has no divine powers. he wasn’t blessed with magical abilities like the other wizards and witches in the series. this is a problem because he’s an ambitious person. he studies a lot of history and is able to predict what’s going to happen based on his understanding of humanity. i like to think of him as the “false prophet” (aka a really successful scam artist lmao).
