There were more demons in Seoul than Jackson could count with his fingers. That was something that the man realized in his first day in this town. It was quite ironic that he had to move from Hong Kong to start realizing these things and he couldn’t help but wonder if the same was happening in his hometown. It was a possibility since a war was coming. While Wang Kayee might not care too much about it, Jackson clearly did. They were only one now. His human soul and the hosted demon soul had become only one with his almost death in the airplane crash almost two years ago. It was the only way Jackson found to keep himself alive to find his older brother. Both souls were in perfect harmony, combining their strengths to overcome their weaknesses. It had been him who called for the demonic soul. Jackson had begged for a second chance and he got it. How many people have the chance to start their life all over again? Probably only a few of them and the young man wasn’t going to throw it away. His older brother was more important to his human soul than this war, but if the war was what the demon in him wanted, his new found dark soul was going to please both of them by reaching their goals. It was the demon in him who was completely in control of his body. Everything would be okay, as long as they would get to the end of this road with both being successful. This was the only way they would accept this life. There was no turning back.
Seoul was a strange city to him. Jackson had to start all over again when he got there. His own father had found him a job and both of his parents were paying for his apartment in the town. This was going in the way he had expected. The only thing that was going too slow was the fact that Jackson couldn’t find any clue that would lead him to his brother’s location. At this point, the young man wasn’t even sure if his older brother was in Seoul. The first and only letter he had received said for him to come to Seoul, if he wanted to find his brother. Jackson had been in Korea for a year and there was no evidence that his brother was also here. No other letter had reached his hands and he was starting to wonder if maybe the leader of the gang had lied to him. Korea was a foreign country to him, even if this hadn’t been the first time he had been here. Some years ago, when his brother was still with them, his family had come to Seoul for holidays. It had given him hope that maybe his father would pay more attention to his own family, but he couldn’t have been more wrong. As soon as they landed, he had left them at the hotel to take care of some businesses. That was exactly why he had chosen Seoul in the first place and any of them had suspected of anything. While his mother and his brother tried to ignore the feeling of being secondary priorities to their patriarch, the same didn’t happen with Jackson, who actually faced him harshly about his attitude. That had been the only time he had stayed in Korea. The demon didn’t even know anyone from here. Well that wasn’t entirely true. There was someone – Mark. He had been the only friend he made in Korea, but Jackson never contacted him again when he left to go back to Hong Kong. So calling him when he arrived a year ago wasn’t even an option that crossed his mind.
Starting from the sketch hadn’t been terrible. Jackson had always been a very sociable guy, so it hadn’t been hard for him to actually find some friends. The young man also got along with his co-workers and all his students actually adored him. Some of them had actually been very tasty too. It wasn’t like he could control his demon side sometimes, because killing humans was something natural to him now. While he enjoyed teaching all of his students, some of them had been too tempting to resist. Their flesh and soul had been more important to him than his own classes. It didn’t matter since some would leave – or better die by his own hands – and others would come. There were always some new people joining his classes, so that didn’t bother him too much. However, it wasn’t like he only killed his students. That actually rarely happened, because he preferred to hunt them down. Only killing his students would have been too easy to him, even if sometimes he really couldn’t resist, because his schedules could be erratic sometimes. Hunting was exactly what he was doing at the moment. Jackson watched the humans around him carefully in the cafe as he tried to pick his next victim. His eyes fell on a boy on the corner of the room, close to the door. It was only a teenager, but it was better than nothing since he would have another class in less than an hour. Seeing that his victim was standing up, Jackson followed his example, walking out of the cafe. It was already night time. His next class would be the last one of the day for him too. Starting to approach the teenager, who had stopped to call someone, Jackson stopped abruptly when he heard some noises from an alleyway. There weren’t a lot of people in the street - only him, the teenager boy and some drunken men on the other side of the street. The noises seemed to be muffled to all of them, but Jackson could clearly hear them. Forgetting his prey for a moment, he turned around and started to walk down toward the alleyway, wanting to know what was going on. Something was telling him that the ones doing such of a fuss were demons. Were they hunting too? The demon couldn’t help, but wonder about this.
