Cement anon I’m sorry for only doing this now! And I believe I replied to the early Christmas greetings (❁´▽`❁)*✲゚*
“___________-cchi,” he whisper-shouts, “it’s so. Cute. Like, SO CUTE!!”
You look down to your lap at the yawning kitten, a small fluffy towel around its feet from when you dried the kitten after its bath. Then, you look up again to your boyfriend, smiling gently when you spot him with sparkly eyes and a hand cupping his mouth—he genuinely looks like he’s about to cry.
“It’s a female, Ryouta,” you say, patting the kitten’s head. It purrs, and that’s the catalyst to Kise’s helpless whimper. However, one second later, he whips his head up and has a super serious look on his face when he asks you:
“Where did you find her?”
“In a box at the side of the road, as cliché as that is,” you answer with a slightly sad tone in your voice as images of the poor abandoned kitten flashes in your mind. It was her meows that caught your attention as you were walking home from grocery shopping, and as someone who is weak to animals, you can’t resist. Besides, you and Ryouta could use some company at home…
Kise is all over the little feline, gasping when he touches her and biting his lip when he holds her small paws with his fingers. The blonde is literally unable to hold his happiness in and squeals, but as a result, the kitten jumps in surprise and runs up to your chest, clawing at your shirt as a means of escape from your hyperactive boyfriend.
You chuckle, your fingers leaving long strokes on the animal’s back in attempts to calm her down. You suddenly remember.
“We should give her a name!”
At your words, Kise’s ears perk up and an interested look enters his face to replace the dejected look from a few seconds ago. You can literally see gears turning in his head as he gazes blankly at the kitten resting against your chest, his eyebrows furrowed just a tad bit.
“There are so many names running through my mind right now!” He announces, but contrary to his words, his expression is a mix of frustration and uncertainty. “I think it’s best that___________-cchi name her instead. I’m sure you can think of a good name!”
“Hm,” you ponder, continuing to stroke the live ball of fluff that’s back at her original position on your lap. Watching the feline’s behavior might give you a spark of inspiration.
