And here now the result of the Candeleros formation stream! What a weird place. The part of the formation we depict here is wasn't quite as arid as some of the lower parts of the formation and yet it was dry enough that it makes me wonder... how all the sauropods?
In terms of sauropods we haven an interesting transitional fauna. Rebbachisaurs are the most numerous here but very large titanosaurs, potentially referable to Argentinosaurus, are also present. Besides these the herbivore guild was actually dominated by rhynchocephaleans. In hindsight I should have plastered them everywhere. Priosphenodon is very abundant here and it might have been the only permanent herbivorous resident.
The scene I show here is a playa lake that formed after some recent rainfalls, drawing in all the larger creatures of the surrounding habitats. You can see the hills and alluvial fan that formed out of the transported sediment in the background.
The size chart for this week was thankfully already available. Randomdinos on Deviantart produced one a few years back, Jakapil was missing but otherwise basically everything is covered here. Down to the tiny frogs of the lower member.
