Centaur Paradise Chpt 30 Preview
Below is just a short little bit for the next chapter of Centaur Paradise that I will be updating sometime Nov. 3rd for the story anniversary.
Gajeel held up the shirt he had gotten for Levy, stretching it out with both hands at either ends of the fabric. He looked at it questionably but quickly shrugged his shoulders. “Guess this’ll have to make due until we can get you some new clothes.” He said as he handed her his shirt he had gotten from his tent. The blue centaur took the oversized fabric from the other centaur in front of her and eyed the dark fabric in her hands.
“You can’t be serious…” Levy said as she held the shirt back out to Gajeel who took a step back and crossed his arms over his chest. He raised a brow as he spoke.
“What? Ain’t nothin’ wrong with it. It just happens to be one of my own shirts. Just put it on and quit complaining. I’ve gotta get you to Wendy before she goes off to bed.” He waved a hand towards her, urging her to put on the piece of clothing. “Come on. Put it on.”
The blue haired centaur stuck out her bottom lip as she stared at the shirt once more. Her hazel eyes closed as a sigh left her lips softly. ‘What other choice do I have? I can’t exactly walk around with my torso uncovered. Seeing how Bacchus destroyed what I had on… this really is my only option right now. I’m just going to have to deal with it.’ The light blue coated centaur raised the shirt over her head, slipping into the fabric with ease. She could feel it fall down her torso quickly once her arms and head were through. Hazel eyes glanced down and looked at the shirt bunched up at the base of her torso before her centaur form started. The shirt was so over-sized on the petite centaur, it practically engulfed her whole form. Levy frowned as she looked up to Gajeel, her arms stretching out at her sides. “This is way too big for me! I’m practically swimming in this!”
Gajeel had brought a hand up to his mouth as he held back his laughter at the sight before him. As he watched Levy stretch out her arms, the sight was only that much funnier to the creature. “Damn, even as a centaur, you’re still so small!”
Levy stomped a hoof into the ground as she brought her arms back down to her sides, her hands clenching in frustration. “Gajeel! Don’t make fun of me!”
The dark centaur moved closer to Levy and brought his hand down on her head. “It looks cute on you.” He watched as her cheeks reddened at his comment, her hazel eyed looking away in embarrassment. His smile slowly faded as his crimson orbs looked over the girls’ face. His hand moved down to her bangs, brushing them away from her soft skin gently. The earlier events entering his mind once more. He felt guilt come over him and felt his stomach twist at his thoughts. Had he not gotten so mad at her and just explained himself and how he had acquired that satchel, Levy wouldn’t have ever had to go through what she did with that vile wolf.
He spoke softly to the centaur in front of him as his expression remained grim. “Did he do anything else to you that I don’t know about?”
Levy looked back to the concerned centaur. Her hazel eyes shifted between his for a long minute before a soft smile formed over her lips. She let out a soft breath as she closed her eyes lightly, bringing her hand up to cup his own as it hovered over her ear. “What you can see, is all he did to me. Had you not shown up when you did, Bacchus would have done far worse than this. So please, do not fret over me.”
The black centaur let out a sigh, but felt some relief fill him at her words. He lightly pulled her head in closer to his own as he planted a soft kiss on her forehead. “I’ll try not to.”
