Aztec Gods: Centeotl - Mixcoatl - Chalchiuhtotolin - Xiuhtecuhtli
Armstrong as Cinteotl
Cinteotl or Centeotl is the god of corn, his name literally meaning “Teotl/Deity of Maize”. He’s one of the most important in the Aztec pantheon since maize was one of Mesoamerica's main sources of food
Armstrong was the toughest character to guess in the list. He doesn’t have a lot of obvious connections to Cinteotl or corn in the show (at least not yet) (edit: here is one), so I had to rely on his character design alone. Although his relationship with DH could be relevant

First here are the codex illustration examples I'll be using !
My process was to focus on the most important parts of Armstrong's design. Armstrong is a little grey alien as a reference to a character made by his voice actor, Vinny Vinesauce, he’s supposed to look like Gnorts. So with that as the base, the key elements of his design are his ponytail and goatee, his translator and possibly his hands.
Since Cinteotl is the god of corn, he almost always has ears of corn either on his head, or he carries them on a bundle on his back.
Armstrong has his ponytail, that has a similar shape, on the back of his head. It's in a similar position, both on his head and his back
The only other gods that have a shape like this on their back are Chicomecoatl (another corn deity, female counterpart to Cinteotl) and Itzpapalotl with the flints on her wings. I then ruled out Itzpapalotl as Kara because Armstrong didn’t have any other similarities with her. Mictlantecuhtli sometimes has flints on his head but I ruled him out as Jawbone pretty quickly.
This is really on the nose but I thought his goatee, matching the ponytail, would be shaped to look like a corn kernel. Maybe. I just think it'd be really funny
Moving on, on a couple codices Cinteotl has a thick double line going across his face. The most recognizable is in Borgia, where it goes vertically, but in Cospi it goes horizontally. The look of the line as well as the direction of it in Cospi looks a lot like his translator
Finally, there’s his hands. Armstrong has wide, round fingertips, easier to appreciate when he’s not wearing his LAW enforcer disguise.
It could just be because he’s a stereotypical grey alien, but they could also be meant to look like frog hands.
Cinteotl has an association with frogs. Hard baked frogs were placed on the maize deities' temple and food was put on their backs, as if the frogs were carrying it, as an offering to Cinteotl and Chicomecoatl (Florentine Codex)
Other Mexica gods associated with frogs are Tlaloc, god of rain, and Tlaltecuhtli, the Earth Lord, but I had already ruled those out, Ajax and Maybach. I thought this was a trait unique enough to Cinteotl that was easy to implement into Armstrong’s design. His big pupils, his nostrils and his mouth could be subtle references, too.

Aside from iconography, his relationship with Disco Head could be significant. DH is Xochiquetzal, in Codex Telleriano-Remensis she is said to be Cinteotl’s wife, and in Codex Zumarraga she is said to be his mother.
The four Tezcatlipocas go together as the main four, Tecciztecatl and Nanahuatzin go together as the cats, Itztlacoliuhqui and Itzpapalotl go together as Agent K and Kara, so it’d fit that Armstrong is close to DH, seeing as it looks like he’s his right hand man? Undercover agent??
... He works for him!
Character List
Nueve de Corazónes. Art by Chicome Itzcuintli Amatlapantli, from Tarot Yohualli Ehecatl.
Centeotl or Cinteotl is the Lord of Maize, who rules over abundance and the benefits given to humans by the Earth.
Although His name references maize, Centeotl is also a divinity of cacao, pumpkin and other traditional fruits of Mesoamerica. He is depicted as a young man with blonde hair (like the hair of the corn cobs), and appears in the shape of a corn ear or emerging from the shell of a tortoise, like seeds emerge from the shell of the Earth.
Despite being a predominantly masculine deity, because of His association with fertility and life generation, Centeotl also appears in a feminine form, as Lady of Maize.
