A postcard of the Boston & Maine Railroad Station in Peabody. The location would be at 3 Central Street, where, as of May 2019, a Dunkin Donuts is located at. The postcard has a one (1) cent stamp with Benjamin Franklin on the stamp. The postcard was mailed on January 6, 1909.

The postcard was sent to Miss Lizzie T. Staniels of Pittsfield, New Hampshire R.F.D. No. 3. She lived on Dowboro Road and was single according to the 1910 Census.

The postcard reads:

72 Central Street. Peabody, Mass. - January 5, 1909

Dear Lizzie -- Thank you very much for your photograph. I have delayed acknowledging it because I hoped to get time to write a letter, but I cannot do so just now. You have changed as well as I only hope the years make us better and [ unclear ] and I really believe they do. We may not have much physical beauty, but we away nevertheless, be truly beautiful. God bless us. Lovingly, Mary L.N.
