I didn’t complain at the time. I just asked them to stop keep sending me emails as I would never holiday with them again due to their awful treatment of people with disability and suggested they train their staff. They raised this as a complaint. Now, on top of the continued never-ending emails advertising holidays, I get emails saying that they do not have the staff to deal with my complaint so they are closing it. But if I want to proceed I have to play email ping pong 🤦🏻♀️ Well I don’t want to play! So I’m just going to write it here and maybe they will then take notice and TRAIN their staff and stop contacting me. I will NEVER go on one of your holidays again. I know it was a difficult time back in May. We were just coming out of lockdown. Masks. One ways etc. But these were just two of the issues: I parked my mobility scooter at the front door if Starbucks at the lake. I joined the queue to go order coffee and left the others to go get a table out back (I couldn’t get the scooter round there and it was further for me to walk than to queue) After I’d ordered, my brother came to help me through the exit door as to come via the queue would mean close contact with others. The woman stopped him. He explained he was coming to help me as I have disabilities. Her response? “Well she looks ok to me”🤦🏻♀️ Another member of my party has asthma and struggles to breath with masks but is sick of being challenged when not wearing it. He held a mask over his mouth rather than put it on to allow him to take the occasional breath without it. At the checkout he was challenged by ‘Jack’ We explained the difficulty breathing and demonstrated that actually the mask can be held tighter when holding it against the mouth in that it’s more difficult to hear what people are saying. Jacks response? “ Yeah.
