On view now 💥 Guerra Interior, a solo show by Dagoberto Rodríguez, curated by Andrea Pacheco at Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM), from June 12 to November 8. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CAAM receives the first individual exhibition in a Spanish Institution of one of the greatest contemporary Cuban artist of our times. Dagoberto Rodríguez will present a series of works that mark the beginning of a new stage in his artistic career, which begins in the early 1990s in Havana. Shocked by the recent Syrian War, the artist begins a in-depth investigation of the conflict that the Islamic State is carrying out in the entire region and the ways that the local population has been finding to attack and defend itself from this enemy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Most of the works present in the exhibition investigate the way that war infiltrates the private space, nourishes itself with elemental materials and ancestral confrontation methodologies, in opposite to the western high military technology.
