if i may share a theory about the Friend situation - your ex-crush likes you and it's something his Friend knows bc he's a friend, so when an opportunity to hang out with you (coffee, lunch, museum) presented itself, he enthusiastically agreed/offered bc he wanted to get to know his friend's crush (and maybe somehow find out whether you like the ex-crush back, bc they're friends). but the more time you spent together with Friend, the more Friend started to like you too and maybe ex-crush noticed this so he asked Friend to stop talking to you?
I am loving the theories askdfhdsak but I don't really think it's that because:
Friend spent the entire day telling me things like how ex-crush hooked up with a girl he knew Friend liked when they were younger and how he's basically always been a "ladie's man" (this obvs made me lose all interest in him ksajdfks bc what the fuck)
he also told me how ex-crush has been in a "situationship" with a girl from the office since the summer
he told me all this in a "but don't tell anyone I've told you all this" way which tbh is hilarious I don't think they like each other much deep down I guess
tbh it seems like Friend had a bit of a complex when it comes to ex-crush and girls in general
