Of all of the reactions that he usually got at UNIT, this wasn't one of them. Remove it? Did she not know who he was? Not to be that sort of person, of course, but he was rather well known around UNIT, and the idea that this person hadn't been told about him was puzzling. Was the TARDIS not, in some way, an unofficial symbol of the organization? Okay, maybe that was a bit much, but still.
