Ooooh!! Perhaps a continuation to Silvair one! Would reader become so feral from the taste that they'd have to be locked up? Would reader become terrified from the fact that it tastes good, sending them back into refusal due to hurting Silvair. Running away the first chance they get. Possible finding another human, after tasting one how would reader react? Would they pounce or keep their humanity and try to lead them to a exit, only for Silvair to find out and reader gets a personal taste of Silvair's research and what exactly he does. What would happen afterwords with Masked child. Reader got a taste from Silvair's fingers and afterall, masked child has been more than annoying with their stealing of mr chopped. When reader does find a exit would they actually take it? Knowing they no longer look human. How'd comfort from Silvair go with reader's innerturmoil of this fact. How'd it go if reader tried teaching English to them? How'd the creatures react to how much more detailed it is than how they speak. Another interesting question, teaching them to read. So they can actually see what's in those books that get lost in the otherworld. Many inquiry, much curious
I have had some ideas for a part two in mind for a while, so I would love having an excuse to finally write them. I'll write that, but I'll answer the questions here separately to hold you over until I finish it lol
Reader does get locked in a cell following this incident. Silvair isn't upset over what happened, but he doesn't want to risk Mr. Chopped getting attacked since he wouldn't be able to defend himself like Silvair can. Reader thinks about running away, but ultimately doesn't. Primarily because of how scared they are of everything. Like yeah, they worry about hurting someone they care about again, but they're much more scared of the idea of being alone and without the protection that Silvair's presence provides, so they stay put.
Silvair doesn't really specialize in comfort. He's very clinical, so he doesn't fully comprehend the emotions Reader is going through. All that he really does in ensure them that he isn't resentful over being bitten. Look, his fingers already grew back! It's no big deal. Just eat some more, that will make you feel better.
There is a strong sense of remorse and horror after Reader can think clearly again. It's sickening to know that they have developed a taste for human flesh, but what disturbs them most is that they're more upset over the fact that they hurt Silvair than having eaten a human. As awful as it is... they force themselves to essentially just get over it and prioritize their new friends. They only went into a frenzy because their hunger was driving them insane. They become willing to eat human flesh in order to prevent lashing out at their friends. Killing is still more than they feel ready to do, but they wouldn't be opposed to luring humans to Silvair to let him do the dirty work.
The masked child would do well to find someone else to torment. Now that they're eating regularly, Reader has much better reflexes and improved strength. The child would have a very hard time getting past them. There's also another reason why they might not want to go after Mr. Chopped, but that's a surprise for later.
Reader was already resigned to living out their existence in this realm before the incident. They know they aren't human anymore, and they're afraid to find out what would happen if they did try to go home. It's better to just stay here.
I did briefly touch upon the concept of teaching the spirits english in this post. My headcanon is that the otherworld language has a very whispy, airy sort of sound to it, and that all of the strong pronunciations found in human languages would be very unnatural and difficult for them to replicate. Between that, and how much more complicated human languages are, teaching any of them to the point of fluency would be extremely difficult. That, and I also headcanon that the longer that you're trapped there, the more you forget about life prior to it. Eventually, Reader won't even remember their own native language, much less be able to teach it.
