Nina Jun
Nina Jun is a Korean born, Los Angeles based artist that plays with our ideas of reality, through our positive knowledge of certain objects. “Her work challenges our concepts of comfort, levity, and gravity. Through these pieces, she hopes to expand views about roles that the ceramic material plays in the contemporary art world.” I find the play between reality and art very amusing. It is an interesting concept of to challenge our perspective of reality and art, whether it is actually what it looks like or something fake. Such as purse made out of ceramic that are made to look like leather purses. Or even plastic foods.
