got a thought-provoking OC question on Instagram that merits a crosspost :0
messy temporary ref for artfight of my cerberus gal!! theyre loosely based on Islamic angels i grew up learning about -- thought itd be cool to incorporate some of my reilgious culture into a full-on character?
the religious ties arent meant to be exact or heavy-- more generalized, but i was definitely inspired by Angel Hare and the Judas furry cartoon coming out!!!
birthday gift for @bigbangbuffer 🫶🎉
A breathless sight before her -- a scene brighter than the stars above. A scene that made Zeus, standing before her, made even more brilliant. The lights twinkling, his eyes bright, smile confident and playful.
Her heart skips a beat.

🖤 Kitten snuggles to start the day 🖤
“I’LL GO GET CERBY AND LET HIM KNOW!” The child rushed out of the room. Iona cleared her throat, “Well the book is a bit of a mix of language predating Gaelic, Gaelic itself, Latin, and the language they call Echonian. It’s part of a collection composed and passed down through our family. Ancient magic, it can be much more powerful than what we use today but also much more temperamental. I know before I had mentioned to you James’ affinity for pyrotechnics, he is just naturally apt in our magic. It focuses mostly on aspects of nature and weather, as well as the soul and spirits. Our family has close ties with a group of demons that have been dear to our family for years, they help breed hounds from Cerby’s bloodline.” Just then Meave popped back in the room holding Cerby’s collar. “See Cerby Mr.Voldemort said he’s got big snake. I can talk to Cerby in English and he talks to me in my head, sometimes I hear birdies and bunnies and stuff too.” Iona cut in “Hell hounds can form bonds with communication to who they’re most loyal too my lord. It’s really only the other animals that have me curious.” The little girl rolled her eyes, “Can we meet the big snake?! I like animals they’re fun to talk to, the squirrels are kinda crazy and weird.” The child had a distant look in her eyes when speaking about the squirrels.
“Fascinating. No wonder it looked so familiar, yet so different. You are a very old family, then - demons generally do not form new alliances very often - indeed, not in recent history at all... Though I can imagine most who do make alliances would prefer to keep it quiet. Do all of the children possess the old magic, or is it hit or miss?”
“We can certainly meet the big snake,” Voldemort, said, smirking. He called to Nagini in parseltongue, and then paused. “It may take her a moment to catch up to us,” he told Maeve before turning to Iona. “If Nagini is able to communicate with her, she will be able to tell me about it as well. It will be interesting to see. I have never met a hellhound, as they are quite rare- ah, that is not true. I encountered one named “Fluffy” of all things, but it was a guard dog, and I was trying to steal what it was guarding, so I had very little time to study it.” He laughed. “That feels like a lifetime ago...Ahh, there is Nagini now.”
Nagini slithered in, circling around the Dark Lords feet. “This child wishes to meet you,” Voldemort explained to the serpent in parseltongue, nodding to Maeve. “She has a hellhound companion, and was very excited to hear of your presence. She is a friend, from a very powerful family.”
Nagini turned towards Maeve and Cerby curiously, coming within touching distance.
“There is no reason for concern,” Voldemort said to Iona, recalling how some caregivers are reluctant to allow their child pet a large, venomous serpent. “After Delphini, she has become quite fond of children.”
