What’s good everyone! Happy #cerealfriday! This week we had two picks: Kellogg’s Froot Loops Birthday Cake & Kellogg’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Corn Pops. Starting with the Froot Loops: As soon as you open the bag you’re struck with a highly odorous smell of one of the best ice cream bars known to man. Direct quote from MH, “this smells like Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Bar.” Yes, it does! It’s a truly wonderful scent. Eating this cereal dry there is a ton of flavor. Sweet, intoxicating flavor. However, when this cereal becomes milked things change. It’s almost as if the milk washes away that delicious flavor and you’re left with a bowl full of tasteless life preservers. Then this cereal redeems itself with the left over milk. Remember the intense smell of this cereal from the beginning? Well, at the conclusion of eating all the Loops you’re left with a slightly pink bowl of strawberry shortcake milk that you wish you could bottle up and savor all day long. It’s A-M-A-ZING! Next we have the Pops. When you open the bag there’s a highly pungent smell that you can’t exactly sniff out. It looks like a bag full of caramel popcorn. The first dry bite and you taste the intense flavor of a Take 5 bar chocolate and peanut butter minus the pretzel. However, just like the Loops above this cereal’s flavor disappears in milk. One strange thing with this cereal and milk though, it’s that instead of getting soggy - this cereal gets harder. It’s as if the milk creates some kind of exoskeleton around the puff pop and makes the cereal crunchier. Somehow there’s no flavor transfer into the milk with this cereal. When you’ve eaten the last pop all you have is a bowl of unflavored milk with brown specs in it. Yummy day for the tummy. Give them a try! I’m Marc and this is a MarkyMarc711 review. What’s good everyone! Happy very belated #cerealfriday because we actually crunched the cereal today we’ll coin the tag #crunchandmunchmonday! Haha Today’s pick was Post Peanut Butter & Cocoa Pebbles. First, why do they call these pebbles? They are flat...maybe water skipping pebbles 🧐 Anyway, to sum up this cereal in one word I would say: smooth. Upon opening the package your nostrils fill with a smooth peanut butter scent. Then when you pour it in the bowl over milk, the cereal maintains that smooth peanut butter taste. It certainly doesn’t have a wow factor or a send your tastebuds to another planet taste, but it’s smooth and enjoyable to the palette. Even when all the chocolate and peanut butter pebbles are gone you’re left with a bowl of smooth peanut buttery milk. If you like peanut butter you’ll find this enjoyable. What’s good everyone! Happy #cerealfriday! This week’s pick was General Mills Hershey’s Cookies `N’ Creme Fillows. From the moment you open the bag your sniffer is filled with a sweet, chocolatey aroma. When the cereal is dry it tastes like Kellogg’s “Pop-Tarts Frosted Hot Fudge Sunday” and that’s a direct quote from @laura_hanniganxo (exclusive celebrity guest) but she didn’t try the cereal with milk and that’s when this cereal comes to life! (Not literally) but to quote another person who said “this is what dreams are made of,” this cereal is that good! After first pour and first bite this cereal tastes like most other chocolate cereals, but when it sits in the milk the flavor sensations send you to cloud nine. We have another “sitter” ™️ here people! After a 2 minute and 30 second milk bath the fillows become perfect in every way. The crunchy outside texture transforms into the perfect density allowing the crunchiness to still be present but also soft and smooth to enjoy. Kind of like a Cadbury Creme egg that gives you the enjoyment of breaking through the chocolatey shell to reach the creamy center. So what’s in store for your tastebuds after a short milk bath??? The sweet and creamy flavors of Oreos soaked in milk and if that doesn’t sound amazing, I might question our friendship. Finally, after you enjoy each and every delicious milk soaked fillow you’re left with a beautiful bowl of chocolate milk that tastes like Ovaltine! I’m Marc and this is a MarkyMarc711 review. Happy belated #cerealfriday! This weeks’ picks were two from General Mills. Cookies n’ Cream Dippin’ Dots and Chocolate Lucky Charms. First, the Dippin’ Dots. Once you open the bag there is an immediate nostril filling scent of cookies and cream. It’s so good that if they made air fresheners of the scent I’d buy it. Once you pour the cereal into the bowl you see what appears to be white and brown Kix just smaller in size. You’ll be curious about the chocolate cookie clusters and we’ll get to those in a minute. The “ice cream” dots of cereal aren’t bad. There wasn’t a distinct flavor that struck the tastebuds, but the cereal was still enjoyable to eat. You eat up all of the Dots and you’re left wondering ‘where did all the cookie clusters disappear to’? There you are staring at a bowl of milk so you do what any cereal person does and pick up the bowl to drink your milk and BAM! A chocolate cookie cluster just lodged itself in your esophagus! Ok, that’s hyperbole, but the chocolate cookie clusters sink to the bottom of the bowl like anchors in the ocean. I digress, and move on to the second pick of Chocolate Lucky Charms which are exactly that. When you open the bag you smell the sweet smell of any chocolatey cereal. The chocolate cereal isn’t as sweet as Coco Puffs or Count Chocula but there’s no doubt that it’s chocolate infused. The big deal with this cereal is the marshmallow unicorns. Spoiler alert!! Yes, there are marshmallow unicorns. Also, the color it turns your milk is another big deal. What you won’t expect is that once you finish all the cereal, the milk is a light shade of gray - not brown. I thought it was kind of weird, but the cereal was still enjoyable to eat. Happy #cerealfriday! This week I’m going to review a gift from a friend (yeah, cereal as a gift- it’s a thing 😁) Anyway, Post Marshmallow Fruity Pebbles. There’s nothing really crazy going on here. It’s fruity pebbles and marshmallows. However, if you’re already a fruity pebble fan you know how they become rainbow concrete if soaked in milk too long...well, I didn’t experience that at all with this cereal. In fact, I’d suggest they are fruity pebbles of a higher quality (cereal quality- it’s a thing). These are not your standard Lucky Charm marshmallows - they are unique too. These marshmallows taste like they were specifically created for this cereal. However, it’s not the fruity pebbles or marshmallows that you need to worry about but rather the intense level of sweetness. The combination of the two can either leave you salivating like Pavlov’s dogs or dying in a diabetic coma. So...do you have a sweet tooth or has your candy desire fallen by the way side?? Happy belated #cerealfriday once again. First, my apologies on the lateness of these posts the last few weeks. Anyway, this weeks choice was Post Hostess Honey Bun. The smell is on point. It’s a blend of sugar and honey. Next, the texture is exactly what a honey bun would be if it were to be crunchy. Furthermore, and most importantly, the taste is perfection. At first I tried the cereal dry and it was pretty good. I then poured some milk over it and indulged. This made it even better! A friend suggested to let it sit for a little and try again so of course I had to give it a go. Let me tell you...WOW! We have another “sitter” ™️ ladies and gentlemen. This cereal is GOOD! There you go, end of review. Seriously though, from the instant you open the package you’re greeted with a sweet cake batter smell. Upon the first bite the texture is the exact same as the beloved Cookie Crisp. The flavor is sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet.
