JACK ROSE AT CERULEAN
This lucky gal (Theresa) was invited by her friend to do a restaurant review refresh at Cerulean, a schmancy restaurant in Indy. The entire three-course meal plus dessert was incredibly delicious, and I was able to order two lovely drinks, one of which was a cocktail called the Jack Rose.
Amanda (friend who invited me along): Which drink do you think you'll get?
Theresa: I'm tempted by all of them, but the Jack Rose name-checks the two leads from Titanic, so...
The Jack Rose featured lime, pomegranate, and applejack brandy, a liquor I've wanted to try for some time. The result? Sweet, sour, and zesty. Cerulean served it straight up in a martini glass with a brandied cherry.
