Adrien isn't really watching where he's walking, just staring at the messages on his phone and the three little dots there that show his father is typing. He only officially moved out of the manor a few weeks ago, and despite the fact that his father is literally the one paying for his and Félix's apartment, the man has not left them alone or stopped trying to convince them to come back to the manor, at least through University; they're still so young, so vulnerable-
The apartment situation is a compromise as it is. He and Félix were leaving regardless; if their father wasn't paying for it, they'd be paying for it out of the years of wages put in savings from working for their father.
To say nothing about the ongoing fight of Adrien having drawn a line and quit modeling. His last ever photoshoot was about a month ago. Félix hasn't even gone that far, though that's probably because he has reason to not burn good will in the industry...
At least keep security. You quitting won't change the attention on you, and Félix.
The text is immediately followed by a phone call, that Adrien declines, and starts texting back.
We don't want security, Pere. Please just let us be ADULTS. Thanks.
That feels harsh, so Adrien follows it with a smiley emoji, and he's about to pocket his phone when he runs headlong into someone, and drops it.
"Oh my gosh- I'm sorry!" he says quickly, more worried about the blue haired girl than his dropped phone, "are you alright?"
He's not as recognizable as even just a month ago, now making himself wear his glasses full time (despite the nagging anxiety about his father's judgement that still comes with them), and with a fresh haircut to try to separate himself from his past, but it's still easy enough for anyone who's actually looking.
