MHT-CET Preparation Tips
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) is an entrance exam conducted by the government of Maharashtra for students seeking admission in Engineering colleges, University departments and unaided institutes within the state.
The test is divided into 2 parts-Paper I is Mathematics and Paper II is Physics and Chemistry. It is important to note that 805 syllabus is from 12th standard and 20% is from 11th standard. With such a vast portion to cover, it may become extremely overwhelming for students to remember everything. Smart planning and smart studying is the key to scoring well in the test.
Understand the exam pattern and syllabus properly before starting the preparation. Know what topics to study from both the classes.
Take notes while studying each chapter. These can include important points, formulae, equations, etc. If done regularly, it will save a lot of time and energy during the revision just before the exam.
Prepare a time-table so that you can allocate equal time to all the subjects. This will ensure that all the topics are covered. Make a realistic time table with 1 or 2 short breaks in between, so that it becomes easier to adhere to it. The short breaks will ensure that you get refreshed and relaxed, so that concentrating on the next part of the studies becomes easier.
It is always best to seek guidance from the experts available at various coaching classes. They will guide you with regard to the books that need to be followed, the study methodology to be adopted, etc.
Solve as many mock tests as you can. Specific MHT-CET test series will give you a variety of tests to solve, thus giving you an idea about the type of questions, time management and your strengths and weaknesses about the topics. These test series also give model answer papers and your solved papers to compare and understand what is expected.
Vidyashree Test series in Pune is one of the oldest and best test series in Maharashtra, guiding hundreds of students every year.
Forming an action plan and making sure to follow it will ensure that your study and preparation is divided properly enabling you to cover all the topics and also have time for revision before the actual exam. It is extremely important to have adequate time for revision, since the syllabus is vast. All this will help you to be well prepared and this will boost your self-confidence.
