Hello I'm interested in a service dog ... I saw a lot of page on internet that selling " service dog certificate " is that legal ? If my dog has good behavior can we buy that certificate and take a trip out of USA ? Thank u do much
Hi! Those online service dog registration websites are not legal at all. There is no such thing as certification or registration for service dogs in the US. Any website that says so is a SCAM, and the documents they provide hold no legal standing. If you are interested in a service dog, you must have a legal and documented disability, and your dog must be individually task trained to mitigate your disability. While task trained service dogs are protected everywhere in the USA, there are usually very strict laws for traveling outside the country with a service dog. I know some countries require certain vaccinations, and others may require certification from a training agency. Unfortunately this is not something I have experience with though.
