Happy holidays, dear residents!
A wonderful flurry of snow has picked up, covering the entire island with Christmas cheer- and happiness for all other winter celebrations as well, of course! Each city is spending the holidays in their own way, but of course the best part of Winter is the WINTER MARKET held at the park of the Fate Tree!
Christmas lights are strung up all around as VENDORS set up stalls and show off their wares. From trinkets and baubles for your tree to beautiful wintry-themed decorations for all year round, the craftsmen are coming out in full force to display their goods. Right alongside them are rows of FOOD STALLS, of course, making warm goodies like toasted sandwiches and brownies, and there are even activities such as ICE FISHING and SNOWMAN-BUILDING COMPETITIONS! If ye weary gentlemen - and women - ever need to take a break, there are small FIREPITS scattered across the park with benches around them, or you can be a bit bolder and see how warm and toasty it can be in a real life IGLOO!
And, of course, no winter holiday is complete without a winter formal, so a lovely group of volunteers ave decided to host the BON CERISE WINTER BALL inside the Bon Cerise History Museum on Christmas Eve! With an entire exhibition hall empty - save for the massive pine tree in the middle, decorated with all sorts of tinsel and ornaments - the room is just begging to be danced in, and so MUSIC will be provided by the Trans-Cerisian Orchestra and Cherry Tonics a capella group, with a live DJ also mixing tunes in the resting room to the side.FREE REFRESHMENTS will also be available for the duration of the ball, with samplings from all of your favorite diners on the island! Be sure not to miss the magical INDOOR SNOWFALL while you’re at it, and at exactly midnight there will be a GIFT EXCHANGE happening underneath the magnificent pine in the middle of the hall!
Whether you want to venture out into the snow, or maybe you’re content with dancing around a magnificent fire, there’s something for everybody in Bon Cerise this holiday season, so feel free to explore and see what awaits you!
This event runs from 12/15/2017 through 1/7/2018!
