Swap Arrival!

This post is rather late but the fault rests solely with my mail room, which managed to lose this package for over a week. How this happens when the package room measures maybe 10 by 5 I’m not sure but alas it did nor is it the first time. (Anyone remember the last swap?)

Anyways onto the swap package!

My swap partner, Beverly (blog here), really outdid herself on this one. (Like a lot). The swap was for 3 books, 1 you’re read, 1 you want to read and 1 from their wishlist. 

I’m super excited about the books I got! I’ve been meaning to read Nemirosky for a while but it kept slipping through the cracks. Also the Boston Girl, hello already super obsessed with it. (side notes, how amazing are the covers well done publishers well done).

In addition to the books, Beverly included some super cute bookish note cards (which will get a ton of use!) and a beautiful mug!

Isn’t it super adorable, I love the blues and the flower design. Bonus Beverly painted it herself, such a talented lady! She also included some lovely bookmarks, which I’m now realizing did not get photographed but take my word for it, they’re great!

Another Package Swap

So I do have actual travel posts in the works but they are of course taking me a little to pull them together! 

But onto other news, I’m doing another swap! This one is somewhat similar but instead of one book and a mug this swap is 3 books, yes that’s right 3 books! I know super exciting. 

I’ve been reading a lot of travelogues, mostly by Robert Kaplan, whom I love but who is rather dense. Soooo my reading has been taking longer than usual and I’m super excited to get some new books!

Book and Cuppa Swap Package

Guys! I finally got my swap package (the delay being 1. the snow and 2. the absolutely tragic state of my buildings package system). So anyway my swap partner Megan is an absolute doll and her package was wonderful. 

So onto the big reveal! 

Refresher the rules of the swap said a book, a mug and one other bookish or beverage related item had to be included.  

I’m super excited about the book Megan chose from my wishlist, I’m a sucker for these quasi realist spy thrillers bonus points if they’re set during WWII or the Cold War. Anyway I’ve been meaning to pick up a copy for quite away and never got around to it but now, it’s sitting on my desk just waiting for me to pick it up. #win

A Swap and some random photos!

First let’s talk swap :)

This is the first swap I’ve ever done but I’m super excited about it! You trade a mug, a book and a bookish item. I’m lowkey obsessed with mugs so this swap is perfect! (I’m not kidding my kitchen is not equipped to hold all of my tea/coffee/mugs).

And onto our regular scheduled programming:

You should know that I’ve had like three different posts put together that I’ve somehow completely forgotten to post. That might give you an idea of what the last part of my semester was like. I discovered that taking 5 classes, working part time, interning and keeping up with my Etsy shop perhaps was too much. C’est la vie. 

So anyway this upcoming semester is lighter class wise and maybe internship wise (crossing my fingers I get it though) so posts should be somewhat more regular. Instead of putting up the aforementioned posts I’ve decided to just put up some of my favorite pics from the end of last year. Without any more ado here we go. 

I went to NYC for a day before Christmas it was so beautiful! I’ve never been during the holidays and it may need to become a yearly thing.

My friend Chloe and I went to the Renwick Gallery to see the new exhibition and it was AMAZING! The above are only a couple of the ones I took. There were so many different ones, each room was a different installation. 

  Every year my mom drags us all to the lights at our local botanical garden and it never disappoints!
