These days, Atreus did not often leave Skyhold, he had a steady stream of recruits to train and that kept him very busy, but with Cullen away on his own mission with Ser Barris and the Inquisitor wanting a senior Templar to accompany them it fell to Atreus to step up, which truthfully he didn't really mind, he did miss going out in the field.
The only thing he disliked was the horses, which was no fault of the animals, in his youth he had enjoyed riding but as he'd aged and his leg had ached riding was beginning to get very uncomfortable for him.
But that discomfort would be pushed aside because he had a job to do.
He tugged the ties on his combat leathers, making sure they were secure, before he stepped out of his room with his head held high. They would be out of Skyhold for a week, travelling to a rift a bit further out than expected.
As he turned to make his way to the gate he walked into one of the people he had wanted to see before he left.
“Ah, Brook.” Atreus greeted with a dip of his head and a smile. “I'm going to be out of Skyhold for a week, maybe a little longer, can you keep an eye on my recruits and make sure they do not slack off for me?”
