Gabi raised her eyebrows when she spotted Isla in public. There were probably much better ways of finding people, but logic wasn’t always her strong point despite the image that she tried to project. Ridley and Allegra had been bad enough, but Isla too? This was too much. The illness hadn’t been studied well enough for Gabi to do anything else but lose her mind a little bit when she found out that her... friend was sick. It felt strange to think that. Friends were a difficult concept outside of her own sea to begin with. “I wasn’t sure if you had anybody to help you take care of yourself,” Gabi said, setting a bag full of a whole bunch of... stuff on the ground carefully. Even so, a couple teabags spilled out of the top. “I've been looking for you everywhere. I- I didn’t really know what to get for you that would help, so I got everything.” She couldn’t lose anyone else after everything that had happened lately, and someone else getting sick (someone that she had actually known for a little while now) made her worries kick into high gear.

Gabi had acquired almost every ‘natural’ human remedy within her price range that she could find. Since she didn’t know a lot about what the illness was, that meant remedies for many different ailments, including the unlikely ones. She had at least ten different kinds of teabags (she had lost count because they had come in multipacks), a large container of chicken noodle soup, whatever ‘essential oils’ were, ginger, oatmeal packets, honey, and peppermints. She wasn’t exactly clear what all of the symptoms were, but something was bound to help- or at least stand the chance of tasting good. Maybe not the essential oils, though. Those didn’t look like something that should get ingested.

needs lots of friends from any and all backgrounds bc she needs to be surrounded by people at all times! she’s been acting since she was a kid so probably lots of people in hollywood, but she kind of hates it so is just as likely to have an equal amount of non-celebrity friends. co-stars from a disney channel show when she was a kid/some shitty teen movies during her early teens/the cheesy and dramatic cw show she was on before she quit acting two years ago. people to collab with!!!! especially more serious/edgy/established musicians!!! PLEASE give this girl some credibility. the person she took her purity ring off for lol. a guy for something based off of this which i have a lot of ideas for!! she literally needs EVERYTHING pls hmu on discord (al#0019) let’s do things :~)

Gabi had been hoping to see Isla in Port Vale sooner, but it came as a relief to see the mermaid here now in the middle of town. It wasn’t the same as having one of her lieutenants or trusted friends from back in the Caribbean Sea, but this wasn’t a bad thing by any stretch of imagination. She had various levels of alliance with the other sirens (particularly because conversations with sirens could be... brutal), and had made minimal headway with the mermaids encountered previously, but she knew that Isla would not be so difficult to negotiate with. Well, the negotiations themselves might not be easy, but Gabi was optimistic that she could at least get the mermaid to listen to her without being dismissive. Or without being Mellora.

Inhaling sharply, Gabi almost choked on her own breath. She was going to say words, but forgot how to speak for a moment. “Isla, hello. It’s me- Gabi.” She knew she looked a little bit different in human form- but not that different. Still, Gabi wanted to make it clear that it was her and not someone else. Her demeanor was a little uncomfortable, as she was unsure of how she could behave. She had felt incredibly lonely for months now, and it steadily made her behavior grow more and more erratic. Maybe things would have been different if the other mermaid had showed up earlier, but it had been two months of tense conversations and feeling unable to truly trust anyone. It was enough to drive anyone mad, really, and mental stability had never been Gabi’s strong suit.

She reminded herself to breathe. “Have you been in Port Vale for very long? Are you settling in adequately?” Her tone was reserved, almost formal. She did not want to make a mess of this, and would probably find herself even more distraught if she managed to mangle this particular interpersonal relationship. It was exhausting, but it was better than destroying an alliance and a chance to become acquainted properly on the surface as as well.

should i be working on my app? was i doing this instead? yes and yes. but this is a request for a plot based off of this post for isla. basically, isla grew up in hollywood, started acting as a kid alongside her twin sister, but while her sister was able to branch out, isla has maintained the good girl image all these years. now, she’s trying to establish herself as a legitimate musician, but she’s finding it hard with the america’s sweetheart label attached to her. i’m looking for a guy whose reputation is basically the exact opposite? whether he’s always been the bad boy or developed that rep after a fall from grace, what his actual career is, etc. is all open, but he’s definitely the more edgy type and is taken seriously in the industry. my basic idea is they’ve been hooking up for a while but their actual relationship is on and off, people have been speculating if they’re together, and tbh they don’t even know whether or not they are half the time. isla has honestly put a bit of distance between them because of all the rumors about guy dating around and being a heartbreaker. i imagine guy is only vaguely aware that this is what’s going on and is probably frustrated that isla is so hot and cold with him, but how he handles that is obviously up to you!! their weird and ambiguous relationship gets more complicated when their sex tape leaks because guy thinks isla leaked it to give herself an edge, and isla thinks guy leaked it because she has her own image of him as a Bad Boy in her mind. this is really open ended and what happens to them after the dust settles is up for us to decide but i just want a complex relationship for isla because she has some growing up to do tbh. literally the only requirement for this character is that he’s Serious about whatever career he’s in and has one of the negative reputations. age, member group, career, face, etc. is all up to you and i’d love to work out the details of their relationship with whoever takes this!! if you’re interested, my discord is al#0019 :~) thx for reading
