The moment Amy saw her father’s face on campus was the moment she walked in the other direction. She didn’t understand why he was here, but then she realized that it was parent’s weekend. Amy really didn’t consider her father a “father” because she practically raised herself. She had little to no respect for him, but she still cared. After talking to her father, Amy needed to get out and away from him. She realized that the bitterness she left home had followed her here, and she didn’t want any part of it. What she needed to do was gather her thoughts, and that’s what she left to do. Amy traveled to the side of campus near the quad. Once she found a place to sit, Amy brought her knees to her chest, and buried her face in them. She had been on the verge of crying, so her face was red and puffy. Her chin rested on her arm and she looked off to think about the exchange she had. Amy didn’t want anyone to have to see her like that. A voice came from behind her, but she didn’t recognize it. “Sorry, do you need me to move?” She asked, moving her hand to her forehead.

Amy’s night was going less than what she expected it to be. But, that was due mostly to the fact that Nico stood her up. She sent out multiple texts to him, wondering if he was going to show up. Amy was hurt and confused. Why would he promise to take her and then disappear? The dance wasn’t far from Rolfe dormitory and she followed the way she usually took to meet up with him. She was full of frustration and confusion, and that was the only things getting to her. She finally arrived at his dorm and she hesitated knocking. Amy didn’t know what he was doing beyond that door. Maybe she wanted to wait till tomorrow, or something came up with his family. This wasn’t like Nico - he would have told her. Amy tried to forget what he told her within the tent, but she knew it was inevitable. Her hand raised to the door with a firm knock. “Theo told me you were in there. Don’t play this game, Nico.” Amy tapped her foot waiting for a response - nothing. “Nico, please open the door. We need to talk.” Nothing. Amy knocked one more time before the door opened, and there stood a red-eyes Nico. Her eyes locked on his, but she knew something wasn’t right. “Are you going to just going to stand there? Explain yourself. You owe me that much.”

Amy would never admit she was excited to see Nico. There was no harm in seeing him for a second time, right? She didn’t know if she liked him or if he was just a cool friend. Quote honestly, she didn’t want to decide that, but she wanted it to be the first. Amy brushed out her hair and left it down, and slipped on ripped skinny jeans. She wanted to look casual cool, because Nico was way too cool for her anyway. The brunette remembered where his dorm was because she was there earlier with Theo. Amy traveled across the football field to end up at his dorm. She traveled around the corner to see “187.” She gave a stern knock on the door, and it was opened by Nico. “Hey there, stranger. I’‘m here to see Theo.”
