ok so kageyama being invited to a training camp is a Big Deal but i feel like it’s not….. that dramatic

the fact that he’s a skilled volleyball player isn’t a new development, like everyone knows this, and arguably now that he’s learnt how to work with a team, he’s an even better one so it’s not surprising that scouts would be interested in the “genius setter” that even oikawa, with all of his talent, and suga, with all his experience, have each worried about in their own ways

i keep seeing posts like what about hinata?? but the fact is?? he’s not that good yet? he’s only really now getting to interact with a real team and yes he’s evolving and yes he’s got all this natural athletic ability but he still has a long way to go and lots to learn (think ukai even saying he’d be no match for the little giant right now) and hinata pretty much knows that? it’s why he’s fighting so hard but anyway i mean it’s not really a shock that he wasn’t invited with kageyama either

there are so many posts expecting drama to come of it but kageyama has been invited to a training camp, not asked to join a new team or leave karasuno? ushijima is a rep for japan and he still plays with his high school team so it’s not like he’s really gonna go ??? anywhere ??? and hinata is only a first year. he still has so much time to improve and so much time for scouts to see his talent whether it’s at nationals or the next two years at high school if that's what he wants

i don’t know, have i missed something crucial? like pls hmu if that’s so but i don’t really feel that shocked by this………. development……. mostly i’m just so proud of kageyama like look how far he’s come????
