Barry’s eyes narrowed as he watched the crazy kid. He looked at him with curiosity like someone watching a trapped animal – no, there was no trap, but he’d caught Rafe, and both of them seemed to be processing what that meant.

“Ah, of course. You thought t’was your shirt.” Barry nodded for emphasis. “Cause it’s totally normal that your shirt be lying on a pile of my dirty clothes on my washing machine in my kitchen, right?”

A little glint in his eyes, and a crooked grin on his lips. Gold tooth showing. Then he shook his head, for a moment his intense eyes leaving the kook in front of him.

“Nah, you keep it on. It’s cold. And don’t want ya freezing, babyboy, right?”

His dark eyes were back on Rafe as he walked closer, cocking his head.

“Anything else of mine you wanna have – to keep ya warm?”
