rafe let out a chuckle. "right, what else do you call sitting out here by yourself while everyone gets sloshed?" he asked, though he's pretty much doing the same. slipping away happened more often these days since he stopped doing coke. sure, he didn't mind being around others but his desire to be as outgoing and social had died out pretty quickly with sobering up. he moves to sit in the other chair across from evan, head turned to look over the rails. a bunch of people were in the pool below, some dancing around it. pretty sure beer pong was being played somewhere on the grass. "it's a good place to hide."

moving to a different team might have been risky, but, he was starting to think the intuition that had told him to take that deal was a godsend, in more ways than one. a fresh start with a new team and a new city seemed to have refreshed his vigor and drive, they were a driving force once more. and, he'd taken an interest in a certain blonde, though, considering both seemed to be more in the closet than either would like to admit, did present the situation as a bit more complicated, but the dance the two had entered continued still.

Scott Hunter had always persued what he wanted, but, this time.... he was unsure if the persuing was welcomed and what would happen to both of them if said persuing was public knowledge. but that was a problem to deal with on another day.

"you interested in a bit of company tonight?" he asked, tone teasing but at least some what casual, in case there were prying ears around them both.
