character: GOT7's Jr. author: fifi genre: fluff request: “hi! i love your scenarios ^^ i want to request one with Jinyoung where he, his wife and daughter spend christmas at home. please make it super fluffy ;^; thank you <3”
“Good morning.” Jinyoung said with a smile, each of his hands on the sides of your head as he pecked a kiss on your forehead.
“Mm, and Merry Christmas.”
“Mom! Mom! Wake up! It’s Chriiiiiistmas!”
The bed shook violently from the weight of your daughter jumping up and down, immediately waking you from your sleep. You smiled with your eyes still closed, reaching your arms out and waiting for her to jump into them.
“Merry Christmas, baby girl.” you said with a groggy voice, kissing the top of her head as she lay in your arms.
“Hurry and get up! We have to open the presents!” she squealed, jumping out of your arms as quickly as she had jumped into them.
“Okay, okay, I’m coming!” you said, sitting up just as you heard her footsteps patter out of the room. After waking yourself up most of the way, you climbed out of bed and slowly made your way out to the living room.
Your husband was sat on the floor in front of the tree, watching as your daughter picked up the boxes and shook them, trying to guess what was inside of each one. He turned when he heard you enter the room, climbing off the floor and hurrying to greet you.
“Good morning.” Jinyoung said with a smile, each of his hands on the sides of your head as he pecked a kiss on your forehead.
“Mm, and Merry Christmas.” you replied quietly, still half-asleep.
“Are you guys ready?” your daughter asked loudly, sitting on the floor with a box in her lap.
“Yes, sweetheart.” you nodded, letting Jinyoung lead you over to the tree. You sat down next to him, and he wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer and letting you rest your head on his shoulder as you both watched your daughter begin opening her presents.
Your smiles grew wider with each present that she opened, the excitement she expressed making your heart ache with happiness. You imagined that Jinyoung was feeling the same way as well, for each time that your daughter unwrapped a present, he’d squeeze you closer to him and let out a light chuckle.
After opening her last present, your daughter hurried over to you and Jinyoung and fell into your laps, wrapping her small arms around you both as much as she could and squealed happy ‘thank you’s into your ears.
“Of course, sweetheart.” Jinyoung said, tickling her sides and picking her up off of you both. “Now go play with your toys, and let mommy and daddy open their presents, hm?”
Your daughter nodded, turning and running back over toward the tree.
“I thought we said that we weren’t getting each other presents?” you asked as Jinyoung crawled across the floor, pulling a box out from the very back under the tree.
“Well, I broke the rules.” he said, setting the small box in front of you.
“That’s good, because I did, too.” you laughed, standing up from the floor and hurrying into the bedroom. Once you pulled the present out from its hiding place, you sat back down on the floor next to Jinyoung, placing the bag in front of him.
He looked down at it for a moment with a smile, before gesturing his hand toward you. “You first!”
You rolled your eyes, but easily gave in, reaching for the box and holding it in your hands. “Hm? I wonder what’s in here?” you said, shaking it and examining it like your daughter had with each of her gifts.
“What are you doing? Aren’t you dying with anticipation right now?” Jinyoung said, leaning forward to look at you closely, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
You let out a loud laugh, loving the fact that it was so easy to tease him. “Okay, okay - I’ll open it!”
Jinyoung smiled, sitting back and eagerly watching you as you peeled away at the wrapping paper. Letting the paper fall to the ground, a small jewelry box was revealed, and your heart rate sped up with nerves and excitement. Jinyoung had never gotten you any jewelry besides your wedding ring - what could possibly be as special as that?
You glanced over at your husband, his eyes sparkling and his lips curved in a smirk. You shook your head, laughing as you looked back down at the box in your hands, your quivering fingers working at pulling off the top.
Your eyes widened at the sight of a silver necklace; flat, circular beads of different sizes strung randomly across a delicate chain. It was breathtakingly beautiful - but you were slightly confused at what the meaning of it was.
Jinyoung scooted closer to you, wrapping his arm around you shoulder and holding the box with one of his hands as he leaned closer to explain.
“It’s one of those...y’know, the sound necklaces. Where they take the audio waves from a sound clip and make it into jewelry.” he let go of the box and pointed his finger toward the beads on the necklace, tracing it as he sang in a sweet, quiet tone, “I love you.”
“Oh,” you looked up at him, eyes wide. “So these are...the soundwaves to your voice? On this necklace?”
Jinyoung nodded proudly, his smile spread wide across his face.
You felt your cheeks grow red as tears began to sting your eyes. “This is...this is amazing, Jinyoung.”
“Are you...crying?” Jinyoung asked, leaning forward and trying to look at your face.
“No, no! Why would I be crying?” you said quickly, leaning away from him and trying to avoid his gaze.
“Ah, don’t cry!” he said, tickling at your sides like he always did when he wanted to make you smile. “It’s really not that great, there’s no reason to cry!”
“But it is!” you laughed, letting the tears escape your eyes freely now as you looked up at him. “It’s...it’s the best gift I’ve ever received. Really.” you leaned closer, pecking a quick kiss on his lips. “Thank you, Jinyoung.”
He nodded, taking the box from your hands and releasing the necklace from it. He moved to sit behind you, telling you to hold up your hair before draping the necklace around your neck, securing the clasp and letting it fall onto your skin.
“Now, any time that I can’t be here to sing to you or tell you how much I love you, all you have to do is look at your necklace.”
