chaeryeong been yapping about her new ‘friend’ for few days straight, getting all excited and and giddy whenever she talked about you or someone casually mentioned your name.
her crush? it was really obvious since the first day. when the rest got to meet you for the first time, it was painfully obvious that you also had a crush on her 😭
while asking you both (separately) about it, you both turned down their suggestion to confess, as both of you weren’t sure if one another had mutual feelings. plus, you both were too shy to act first, so you yourselves made it harder.
while chaeryeong’s yapping about you became more frequent, the rest of itzy made a decision to give you both a slight push. while christmas was still too far from nearing, they still came up with an idea of hanging a mistletoe to catch you and chaeryeong under it someday 🤞🏻 and it also didn’t work on other members expect for chaeryeong, of course
one day, when chaeryeong stepped through porch, yeji’s head snapped towards direction of front door. as she was about to call out other members, yeji saw that after chaeryeong followed… their manager. quickly turning away to not betray that there’s a mistletoe hanging to not make situation even more awkward 😔 when chaeryeong wasn’t around, yeji told other members what happened and they all collectively sighed at the failed attempt 😔💔
even though, they refused to remove it and finally, after weeks of waiting, chaeryeong finally walked in the dorm with you! ryujin jumped to her feet, quickly pointing at something over their heads, “mistletoe! you can’t walk further until you two kiss!” she grins, looking at you expectantly.
you both flush after her words sink in, and you turn to look at chaeryeong, who looks soo nervous you think she might faint 😭😭 you decided to just get over it and kiss chaeryeong on the cheek, but it seems like chaeryeong had the same thought in her head! so, you end up kissing on the lips and drawing a few gasps from other members.
after that, they end up locking you both in chaeryeong’s room so you could finally confess your feeling. eventually, you do, but not without stuttering, shaking slightly and definitely not without sharing a few kisses too 🤭🤭
