Watching Stepbrothers and the whole montage of them becoming friends just screams Chaffmitch. I mean just imagine:

Haymitch: "Did we just become best friends?!" Chaff: "Yep!" Haymitch: "Do you wanna go do karate in the penthouse?" Chaff: "Yep!"

And so it begins. Chaffmitch running around the Capitol being little shits and adorable bros. And begging Effie to let them make bunkbeds in the penthouse. So much extra space in Haymitch's room to do activities.

Haymitch’s eyes widened. Had he really just said that? To Chaff of all people? He could only blame the alcohol clouding his mind. They were words he never said out loud and vowed to never say again. “I, uh… y’know? As a friend. A buddy. You’re a good buddy.” His words were a little slurred and he reached out to slap Chaff on the shoulder, missing his target by an inch or two. He tried again. “A good buddy.”

*heavy breathing* one day someone will love Chaff.

One day someone will make a Chaff and come be my new best friend both IC and OOC.

How would you feel if Chaff was brutally murdered before your eyes and you would not be able to do anything about it? //muahahaha anica feels evil

He scowled. “Well if I can’t protect the asshole, you can be damn sure I’ll avenge him. But I don’t think he’s such an easy guy to take down, even with the one hand. That being said… he’s my buddy, y’know? Not just gonna stand by and let him die. I know he’d put up a fight, but if I can’t help him, all I can do is promise I’d kick his murderer’s ass afterwards. No one kills my buddy and gets away with it.” He sighed. “It’d be hell to watch him die. He makes going to the Capitol bearable. Maybe even kinda fun.”
