16. Have you ever visited the country where your target language(s) is/are spoken?

Yeah, although tbh idk if it really counts 😅 I’ve been to Galicia multiple times, but that’s really just because my family is there

I haven’t been to Germany or Austria or Russia tho :((

34. Would you suggest books or movies that you like in your first language?

Yesss omg if you wanna read spanish books, Laura Gallego is a great author!! I love all of her books, but Finis Mundi, La hija de la noche, and dos velas para el Diablo are my faves!!

As for movies, the only one I know is el laberinto del fauno (which is pretty great!!), but if you accept tv shows, some really good ones are El Ministerio del Tiempo and Velvet :) Victor Ros is good too, but I only watched the first season so idk what the second is like

I don’t think we have dunkin donuts in Quebec?? However we do have Tim Hortons and that’s a million times better than Starbucks :p

With the whole Torontonian thing, i have this massively thick cities book with all this info about the 200 'best' cities in the world, but on each cities' page, they say what the locals are called and that is my favourite part, with names like Galwegian and Hamburger. Just thought I'd share.

Tbh I’ll never get used to the fact that ppl from Hamburg are called hamburgers cuz that just sounds like an insult or something 😂😂

Honestly this whole has got me interested in the matter as well, i think imma start reading about this stuff cuz it’s pretty funny :p
