Shirah watched the girl as she approached the house. Her home was on the edge of the forest, far from town. She rarely had to go into town for supplies, and that had people suspicious of her. Rumors circling that she was a witch, that she was dangerous. Children would play games, see how close they could get to the witches hut before they got too scared.

It hurt sometimes, hurt a lot, and that was why she rarely went into town. She never got visitors.

The girl had pinkish-red hair, a trait unique to the Fanalis, whom Shirah knew well.

For the first time in what felt like forever since arriving back in Sindria from Magnostadt, Alibaba had managed to break himself away from the crowds to go off on an exploration trip. Despite having spent time on the island before, there was still plenty of Sindria left for him to see and who else better to bring along as his ‘adventure buddy’ than Morgiana, too! 

“Whoooa!” Of course, it wasn’t long before Alibaba’s attention had been shifted away from his friend something shiny up ahead. Rushing over to the small object, he plucked the egg-shaped orb out from a clump of grasses before holding the item up like a trophy.

“—Hey, Morgiana! Look at what I found! Neat, right?”

▮ ₪┆ “Hey, Morgiana!” Alibaba chirped just seconds before sending a playful splash from the small wave pool they’d found up at the other, “Aren’t you gonna come down here and swim, too? I mean, the water feels great!”

Sindrian summers were always hot, but Alibaba wasn’t about to waste the opportunity to get cool on their island exploration when a naturally made swimming pool was right here for the taking!
