Rice Flour and dalia Chakali
Ingredients
2 Cups - rice flour
¾ Cup - roasted chickpea (dalia or phutana) flour·
1 tbsp - sesame seeds
2 tbsp – White butter
1 Tsp Red chilli pwd
½ Tsp Turmeric Pwd
½ Tsp Ajwain
To taste - salt
To deep fry - oil
Method:
Grind the roasted chickpea /dalia in a mixer grinder to a fine powder and sieve it with rice flour .
Keep 2 cups water for boiling.
once the water starts boiling reove ½ cup water and keep aside( In case if your dough becomes very hard you can use it)·
Add red chilli powder,salt , Turmeric,Ajwain and Sesame seeds in the water.
Add 2 Tsp butter in it and switch off the gas.· Slowly start adding rice flour and Dalia powder in it and start mixing with spoon.
Once the mixture becomes like dough consistency close it with the lid and keep it for 15 mins.
After 15 mins kneed it nicely and make a smooth dough
Grease the plastic sheet with oil.
Use a Chakali press and make chakali on the greased plastic sheet.
Deep fry, on low medium flame, till golden.· Drain and cool. Store in a tight-lid container.
