Challenge 120: People and Their Pets: To Those I’ve Loved Before To all the cats from my past work as a foster mom. Plus all those that I have had in my childhood and currently have and some that have passed away. I’m hidden in there as well ;) - Natasha Stoppel
Challenge 120: People and Their Pets: Bedtime with Cats Jordan and I share a double sized bed with three cats so I thought it would be funny to depict an average night for us. I could likely sleep through the apocalypse, so they don’t bother me too much. Poor Jordan is a light sleeper though, and sometimes in the morning I can read the level of Nighttime Cat Naughtiness on his distraught, mid-sleep face. Caitlin
Challenge 120: People and Their Pets: Tribute to Bill Watterson I was invited to participate by the amazing people of Square Carousel and took the opportunity to pay a little homage to Bill Watterson and his incredibly iconic duo, Calvin and Hobbes. A lot of nostalgia comes from these guys. Hope you all enjoy! -Brett
Challenge 120: People and their Pets: Tina and Dulcey
For this challenge I wanted to depict the relationship I had with my 16 year long dancing companion La Dulceneah aka Dulcey. She was a purebred Arabian chestnut mare. Full of warm and wild personality. We both are very stubborn, but we have learned a lot from one another. When I first met her she was a grumpy mare, then as we worked together she became one of the sweetest horses in the barn. She taught me so much patience, understanding, hard work, and was my best friend I used to come to to vent about my issues while I sat in her stall and she ate her hay. I loved pampering her like crazy and playing dress up. I always felt like we were in a different world when we were together. We understood one another, and she was my best friend and I miss her every day.
To my forever heart horse <3

Challenge 120: People and Their Pets: Pup Portrait
I’ve been experimenting with different techniques recently, so I thought I’d use this challenge as a chance to go a little further with this graphite/watercolor/colored pencil layering method. This was also just in time for my dad’s birthday, so I chose to create a caricature of him with his two favorite pups.

Challenge 120: People and Their Pets: Cat Lady no. 1
I took this challenge as an opportunity to play with some new photoshop brushes! I want to keep working on studies with this technique and hopefully develop some really cool layered effects!
