My Disney Birthday Challenge 2018. Masterlist
I want to start by saying a HUGE thank you for all of you who have taken part in this challenge. I have loved reading each and every one of these and fallen back in love with characters who have ended up reappearing in my WIP folders so watch this space.
As a special thank you to these wonderful writers I thought I would get out my pencils again and attempt to turn the main character into Disney Princes for you. Please remember that I currently have an injured wrist and I haven’t drawn Disney style for quite a while so I’m out of practice. Anyway, hope you like it.

Let’s start with a Loki mini-series for you. So the premise is that you and Loki have long been rivals. The two of you fight side by side in battle, when the unexpected strikes and can I say this was a rollercoaster of a series that I’ve gone back to read a few times now.
The subtle shifts in the characters as they learn to lean more on each other all leading up to the realisation of their feelings was sublime. This series not only has enemies to loves but there’s also a ‘THERE’S ONLY ONE BED/ WE NEED TO HUDDLE FOR WARMTH’ moment that I am a huge sucker for.
My favourite part was in part 5... ‘You picked up the little notebook and flipped through it. There were five sketches, all of you, sleeping in your blanket on the chair. Each position was different, your hair arrayed differently each time, your hands curled a different way. A soft smile came to your lips as you looked at the intricate, beautiful detail. They were amazing, you’d never seen this much skill.’ It is so sweet and fluffy and not only gives an insight into Loki’s feelings but also the fact she could see the skill rather than the subject matter. I am so glad I opened up this prompt to more than one person because this is the McCoy fic I never realised I needed in my life until I read it. The reader is a nurse working with Leonard but her view of him changes when she sees him with his daughter on shore leave.
From the gif opening the fic right to the fluffy conclusion I was grinning all the way through. The use of the song was brilliant and this bit, ‘Leonard noticed you glancing his way from time to time and was certain you haven’t look at him with way before.’ made me squeal.
Beautifully written and I love how you showed different aspects of his character which were all on point. GO READ IT HERE

Thorin Oakenshield fluff of the fluffiest variety here. Of all the girls the King could pick I really at the party he spots the girl of his dreams and yet he’s still too shy to make a move.
The build throughout the story is beautifully done until I was very nearly shouting at him to just kiss her already. The surroundings were perfect and the way the scene in the gardens was described was brilliant. GO READ IT HERE

The lovely, gorgeous Dean Winchester has been in the dreams of the reader all her life and when she runs into him in real life there’s angst and danger and fluff all mingled together in this fabulous fic.
When Dean says, “What if… what if I’m not the man you dreamed of? What if I mess up and something happens to you? What if I’m unworthy of you?” this damn near broke my heart because we all know that’s how he’d feel even if he didn’t say it. The characters are so on point and this story made my heart ache and then made me smile and then made me want to hit Dean Winchester with a pillow. Brave sweetie. GO READ IT HERE

Now, you all know I have a huge soft spot for Fili and I admit that I may have stared at the picture that accompanies this fic for longer than I should before reading it but he is so pretty.
I am a bit of a sucker for pining and this story ties that in with the song fantastically well. The way everyone sees how the reader feels and encourages them to do something about it was so well done, like a slow drip building up until she finally admitted to herself. I also love how it’s all about how she feels and there’s no guarantee her feelings are reciprocated at all. Then when Thorin says, “I just wanted to tell you that once you get the courage to admit it, I approve. You would be a good match for him,” it just made me laugh.

There are so many things I love about this Bucky vs Clint fic. I LOVE that as a fandom we have decided Clint absolutely spends his time crawling through vents. I LOVE the glitter prank. I LOVE this moment where Bucky says “Doll, I know he’s important to you. But I am too, right?” His big blue eyes stared into yours.’ because even though he is a big and powerful super soldier he needs all the love.
The relationships between the characters is so well done and I can totally see them all together as a rather dysfunctional family. I also love how Bucky narrowed the pranks down to Clint too. GO READ IT HERE.

This is the first part of what is going to be an amazing Dean series. There are things which could be triggering in this one but it is all very clearly labeled at the start so if you can make it past there then strap yourself in for the rollercoaster.
I can see the beginnings of something interesting between Dean and the reader and all the backstory I am sure is gonna be important later on in lots of ‘oh shit! Yeah!’ moments.
I thought the relationship between Dean and Sam was really well done, I love how he takes care of his little brother. I can’t wait to see where this whole series goes and I encourage you all to get in from this first part. GO READ IT HERE

I think this may just be one of my all time favourite Cas fics. I totally got lost in this two-parter and loved every moment of if. From the gorgeous descriptions to the slow build this is so beautifully written I could cry.
The relationships between the characters are well rounded and believable, especially the connection with the reader and Cas. I wish I could find the words to tell you how amazing this story is but I don’t have the ability, which for a writer is very unnerving. GO READ IT HERE
