My friends and I have really good conversations actually. It was also said that you have to educate yourself and it's not all about challenging the system(s). We do live in a place that sees things through a binary lens, but in actuality things are very rarely binary. But sometimes you do have to conform and decide which part of you or which identity you want to leave in the shadows. So taking action is nice and all, but you need the education as well. Challenge the binaries, sure. Also educate yourself on the issues and learn new things. Maybe even broaden your own mindset.
