Farewell to Russ Morris
Operations Director Pete Atkey has written a piece about the contribution of Russ Morris to DDRC Healthcare, as Russ enters retirement.
"This week sees the retirement of one of our stalwart members of staff; Russ Morris, who started working with us at DDRC as part of our engineering team and chamber staff member in 2001. Before he came to us he had been in the Royal Navy as an engineer working in submarines. We have benefited from his expertise and during his time with us Russ has been involved in all our major projects. One project that comes to mind as being memorable was where he was involved with a “rush job”. We had a mad dash to remove a complete chamber system overnight which saw Russ working with me and our engineering manager all night and still his sense of humour held firm.
Russ’ retirement is a significant event; we wanted to mark this by giving him something to remember us by, a collection raised the funds to buy an engraved decanter and glasses as a thank you and reminder of his time at DDRC.
Russ will be missed by the team and we wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement and look forward to seeing him joining our fundraising arm 'Friends of DDRC' where his enthusiasm will be extremely welcome."
