A while ago, one person said that they didn't understand why the crowd in Rumble for Ragnarok turn on Jormungandr and supported Dewey.

As a wrestling fan, I know what the deal was. It was great actually.

So, I'm going to explain it.

The initial state of the situation is perfectly defined by Launchpad. Jormungandr is the face, Scrooge is the heel. Simple.

Dewey don't get it. How can Scrooge be the bad guy? He's a hero!

Yeah, the Earth's hero. And we're in Valhalla.

Scrooge saving the Earth from the Ragnarok is the most evil thing to do here. People hate him, and he lives for it.

Dewey never had a chance. He's the nephew of the Millionaire Miser, Champ Popular was doomed from the beginning.

Impossible to hate? Dewey, people booed the living hell of Kurt Angle, an Olympic Gold medalist.

Dewey in his tag match, sucked. He really did. He did nothing but trying to get people to like him, and in wrestling, that's a recipe for disaster. We don't want a guy telling us he's nice, we want a hero that fight for us.

So how did Dewey come to be loved? A Double Turn.

A double turn is when a hero became a villain, and a villain became a hero. Sound simple, is not. It has to be done perfectly to make it work.

The most famous double turn of all time was at WrestleMania 13, when the hero Bret Hart opposed the villainous Stone Cold Steve Austin.

A bleeding Austin found himself trapped in the lethal Sharpshooter, a move that gave Hart so many victories. But Austin refuse to give up, he rather fainted because of the pain than gave up. Bret Hart was the winner.

What he did next? He attacked an unconscious Austin. And people hated it. That's not what a hero does, a hero doesn't kick someone down. A hero is someone who never gives up. Like Austin.

That's exactly what happened in Ragnarok.

Jormungandr had Dewey defeated. It was over, but he continuously attacked a weaker opponent. It wasn't a fight, it was a beat up.

This is not the Norse way.

And Dewey?

He refuse to lose, like a real hero.

That's why people cheered on Dewey, and it was organic, it was spontaneous, it was real. It was perfect.

That's how you do a double turn.

That's how you make Champ Popular a hero.
