Hello MintMortician, I been wondering on how did Khai and Ogma (Khama or Ogai), LiKorn and ChamQui (Champa/Quitela) came to be or do they have an interesting origin story?
(Still working on the fanfic but these times are busy, but how are you doing these days? Hopefully well 💕)
(Take your time! Don't feel the need to rush, I'll be happy with it no matter when it comes out :) Also, I'm as well as I can be! I hope you're doing well yourself! :D)
((also SO SORRY FOR THE WAIT! I JUST FINISHED SCHOOL))
Super happy to provide the origins! I will cover LiKorn and ChamQui first, since I've written those origins, then hit Khama!
(Gonna add a keep reading line cuz this is gonna be LOOOONG)
LiKorn
Many years before the tournament of power, Liquiir would explore his preferences with others. He dated two mortals, both of which have since passed on, before he found himself with Korn. Of course, it wasn't right away - those two mortals weren't there just for show. Liquiir genuinely loved them, but...to differing levels.
The first lover, a female serpentine, stole Liquiir's heart from the start. They became quite active and engaging, but sadly, he realized he didn't feel as strongly as he thought. They broke apart... and permanently, at that. He couldn't bring himself to remain close to her, as he felt too ashamed and awkward. She unfortunately passed away in a war shortly after.
The second lover, a male humanoid, had Liquiir's heart in a trance. They were a lot more active, more in love, and more entangled with each other. Their love was so strong, that Liquiir brought him to live in his palace. Their connection was one that was sadly severed by natural causes. His lover's body was discovered by Iru while Liquiir wasn't home. Devastated, he buried his late partner with their late relatives, and promised to visit their grave once a century.
Depressed and heartbroken, Liquiir never outwardly sought out another lover. Korn and Iru took it upon themselves to do what they could to cheer him up, which ended up with Korn and Liquiir visiting a sauna planet together every so often.
All this, while Korn sat in emotional turmoil. He was jealous of Liquiir's lovers for helping him discover his pansexuality. He felt like he could've, though he knew that he couldn't. It was against the rules, as he surely knew, but eventually...his feelings took over. Fuck the rules.
Then came that grace period, just before they were due to arrive at the Null Realm. They were left alone on the chair swing; entrapped in their minds and each others' presence. In Korn's mind, it was now or never. But in Liquiir's...it was at that second.
He leaned over, kissed Korn on the cheek, and triggered the avalanche of emotions that changed their lives forever. Korn immediately kissed him back, they ended up confessing, and now they're happily together, never to be apart again.
ChamQui
Over the two years following the tournament, Quitela found himself growing closer to Champa. It started off as small hangouts that happened every so often. Over time, it slowly progressed to sleepovers, meetings, and...longer hangouts. And by over time, I mean 2 weeks. See, Champa has had a slight crush on Quitela ever since the tournament brunch they attended. He'd never admit it, at least not now, but he wanted to pursue something with Quitela. What that something was had yet to be figured out, but he knew he wanted it.
One day, Champa and Quitela were chilling by the latter's animal pond. They were sitting there, talking about the numerous animals swimming carelessly. Somehow, came the topic of their interests (or lack thereof) in mortals. That was the moment Champa confessed that he liked men. Quitela didn't understand or care at the time, but wanted him to do what made him happy. Champa backtracked, feeling awkward from the confession, but Quitela clarified that he didn't believe it was a bad thing.
Somehow, they ended up on the subject of kissing. Quitela was curious as to how it worked. Champa offered to teach him how to do it. Mid-explanation, Quitela leaned in and kissed him. Realizing what he'd done, he pulled back quickly in embarrassment.
"Like that?" He asked, flustered.
Champa could only stare on. Quitela immediately died of embarrassment. He apologized profusely, half-expecting Champa to punch him in the face. Instead, Champa smiled and put his hand on Quitela's shoulder.
"Yep. That was perfect."
At that moment, both of them realized something.
Champa realized that his feelings for Quitela had grew tenfold. His brain solidified it; he wanted Quitela to be his. He could go as far as to say that he wanted to love Quitela. His mind had a few ideas, but they all mainly led to that conclusion.
Quitela, on the other hand, realized that he really liked kissing.
They shared a private kiss just before Champa was due to leave, and every time they saw each other after that, they shared at least one kiss. At first, they started off with a single kiss - a quick peck at the end of a video game. Those kisses were usually light on the lips and cheek.
That last outing only made Quitela realize that he reeeeally loves kissing.
Any outings after that would have time set aside for a kissing session, which went from short kisses, to long and passionate smooches, to hot and deep ones. Sometimes, they ended with Quitela pinned to a wall while Champa moved the kisses to his neck and shoulders. Other times, they ended with Quitela on top of Champa's waist. Either way, dry humping, moaning, cursing, and lust would heavily take over.
It made Champa realize that he loved Quitela.
It made Quitela realize that he wanted to have sex with Champa...and that he might have a crush on him.
Okay, he definitely had a crush on him. A major one, at that. He just didn't fully know it.
The day they made love was one they'd never forget.
It started off as a meeting to discuss...things. But they kissed, and this time didn't stop. And it snowballed. And next thing they knew, they were in Quitela's bed. Which wasn't unusual; they would occasionally lay in his bed just to cuddle and make sweet talk.
But this sweet talk was a lot more passionate. As in, passionate enough to have Champa on top of and inside of Quitela.
From that day on, their relationship took a whole 'nother turn, and they didn't mind one bit.
Khama
Khai was an overseer of the fifth best Universe in the cosmos - the 11th Universe. With Belmod and Marcarita, they ran the universe like it was a fucking rave.
Their mortal level was in a good area. They had plentiful planets that were growing under his watch. It was a beautiful time to be a supreme kai, but being one had its downsides.
There was rampant evil in the universe that Khai couldn't handle alone, and it pissed him off. But luckily, his partner in crime had the perfect solution...in the form of the Pride Troopers.
With all of those aspects holding down the fort, Khai didn't think there was anything that could hold him back from his duties.
That was...until he fell for Ogma.
The supreme kai of the third best Universe - the 5th Universe. The younger sister of the first Universe's supreme kai, Anat. And the only one of the supreme kais to be a woman. Of course, that wasn't all he saw in Ogma. Not even close.
Ogma was the kind of person who didn't want to cause trouble; she was cautious...and he liked that.
Not to mention kind, gorgeous, sweet, majestic, responsible, organized, prideful, adorable, humble, proficient, lovely...he could go on.
Of course, he didn't know how he could pursue something with someone like her. She probably wouldn't be interested in dating anyone, let alone him. He was confident that he could be a good lover for her, but he also knew that to run a universe as efficient and spectacular as the 5th universe...she wouldn't have time for or interest in him.
At least, that's what he believed.
Then came the celebration for those universes increasing their mortal levels. They sat beside each other at the Kais' table. The conversations carried on like normal. Shin was welcomed as an "official" supreme kai; Roh was the subject of jokes; Ea and Pell were playfully arguing over strengths...and then somehow...the two of them came up.
Khai wanted to disappear. He would've rather not speak upon feelings that he shouldn't have - why was it coming up anyway?! How did they know?! Gods, this wasn't happening...
But it was...and not the way he expected.
As it turned out, Anat and Ea had noticed that Ogma had been showing signs of having a crush on Khai. She was quite embarrassed for that to have come out.
"Khai, I'm so sorry, please don't pay any mind to this nonsense..." She calmly pleaded with him.
But Khai oddly felt relieved. Not just relieved, but delighted.
"It's okay... I cannot deny sharing those feelings..." He admitted with a faint blush.
Despite just confirming themselves to be love interests, they decided not to pursue a relationship just yet.
Not because they weren't ready, but because they wanted to redo this moment without the company of their fellow kais.
