I really enjoyed the manipulation by Diao Chan who manipulates both Zhuo Dong and his stepson Bu Lu with the help of her father. It’s unusual to think of women in ancient China having any power, but she uses her beauty to create a love triangle of deceit in an attempt to bring the tyrannical rule of Zhuo Dong to an end.
