MASTERLIST
Chan is done for the moment he sees her. Not dramatic, not loud. Just this quiet, stunned softness like his whole world reset.
He holds her like she’s the most precious thing he’s ever touched.
One hand supporting her head, the other wrapped around her tiny body. He whispers,
“hi, angel… it’s daddy…” in that soft voice he only uses when he’s emotional.
He becomes overprepared instantly. He reads every article, watches every video, asks every parent he knows for advice.
He has a notes app titled “baby girl things to know.”
When Hannah finds out you guys had a daughter, she's half upset she's not named after her. But the other half cherishes her by buying her tons of gifts and holding her every second she can.
Sometimes, it causing arguments between Chan and her. Because she's "corrupting" his baby. But she ends up winning every one. #AUNTIEHANNAHPOWERRR!
He’s the type to panic over small things.
Baby sneezes? “Is she cold!?" "Chan she has 2 blankets over her." Baby hiccups? “Is she okay?” "She's just hiccuping." Baby makes a weird noise? “What was that. Why did she sound like that.” "She yawned."
He cries more than she does. Not in a dramatic way, just quiet tears when she grabs his finger, or falls asleep on his chest, or looks at him for the first time.
He calls her princess, angel, my girl, sweetheart, and he means every word.
He’s protective in a gentle way. If someone holds her wrong, he’ll politely correct them.
If someone is too loud, he’ll move closer and shield her with his hand.
He sings to her constantly. Lullabies, SKZ songs, random melodies. Whatever comes out. She falls asleep with him faster than with anyone else.
He takes pictures of her every day. Not aesthetic ones.. but dad pictures. Blurry, zoomed in, weird angles. But he treasures every single one.
He’s the type to talk to her like she understands everything.
“You’re so strong.” “You’re doing so good.” “Daddy’s right here, okay?”
He doesn’t even realize he’s doing it.
When she cries, he picks her up instantly. He sways, pats her back, hums softly. He’s tired, but he never complains.
He melts when she grabs his shirt. He melts when she falls asleep on him. He melts when she smiles at him. He melts when she says “da-da” for the first time. At this point, he's a popsicle. He's always melting.
He’s the dad who carries her everywhere.
Grocery store? She’s in his arms. Studio? She’s on his chest. Walks? He’s pushing the stroller like it’s a mission.
He’s emotional about everything she does.
First laugh? Tears. First steps? Tears. First word? He has to sit down.
He’s not perfect. He gets overwhelmed, tired, and stressed. But he tries so hard. And he loves her with his whole heart, every single day. That's what you love about him, and your so lucky that he's the father of your daughter.
