Could a Chancel survive if Creation is destroyed ?
I suppose there’s only one way to find out, isn’t there?
That said, in principle an Imperator may live beyond the life of Creation, but in practice this may be difficult, and ultimately short-lived.

A closer look at my Creation
In the first campaign I ran, one of the players was looking to protect a place they loved. The way they decided to do this was by enchanceling the land and Ascending to the status of a True God. To the end of enchancelment I wrote the following as a basic guide to tapping into an Actual to fuel the miracle as the player did not wish to, say, sacrifice one hundred humans over one hundred days. The process is partially based on the methods used by the Medicine Seller in Mononoke to unseal his sword, namely the revelation of three key aspects of the spirit to be exorcised.

The Origin, the Hunger, and the Soul. Each symbolically binds the Actual and user, so that the Actual may be used to form the foundation of the Chancel, and help fuel the Miracle of Enchancelment. With non-Imperators, this can cause problems, as you must fuse your soul with the Actual and plant part of your soul in the Realm’s Heart. This may also force you away from your Imperator , depending on which bit of soul you use. This is very painful, and time consuming.

First is the Key of Hunger, which defines that which the Actual strives for but can never grasp; next is the Key of Origins, which symbolizes that which brought the Actual into its twisted state of being; finally, the Key of the Soul.
